In 2009, our office staff decided to take our animal care skills worldwide! We joined World Vets, a nonprofit animal welfare organization dedicated to the reduction of pet suffering in third world countries. Twice yearly, we go on international spay/neuter project trips. So far we've helped pets in Mexico, Nicaragua, Romania, and Ecuador! The catch? We have to pay our own way. As much as we want to help the animals in other countries live better lives, it is beyond our means to help so much if we do not ask donations of our supporting community. Our staff wanted to do something pet-related, something community-related, and something fun. Thus, Beauties of the Beach was born!
Our first calendar was a great success, and enabled us to take medical care to cats and dogs in both Romania and Ecuador. This year, we are again committed to creating a quality calendar featuring North Beach pets.
